Cops are said to have pounced on the man who one witness reported was carrying a “machete”.

France, a nation which lost 130 people to the November Paris attacks and endured the Charlie Hebdo atrocity last January, mourns yet again.
The arrest comes nearly 24 hours after French-Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel ploughed a truck into hundreds of people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice.
France has declared three days of national mourning following the atrocity, which comes after attacks in November in Paris in which 130 died and in January 2015 that killed 17.
A vigil was also taking place at Nice Cathedral tonight.
